The biggest wave of Belgian immigration to Wisconsin happened in the 1850’s. They came seeking land and something greater for the generations to follow. Located 40 miles north of GRB is the Belgian Heritage Center. Open seasonally it contains a wealth of information on the settlement of Belgians. Roughly an hour south of Green Bay is the Luxembourg American Cultural Society Center in Belgium WI, with special events, museum and a research center that includes resources for Belgic-Luxembourg researchers. Green Bay is in the center of both making your heritage trip easy.
